Artless Art

I was an avid film photographer many years ago, but the pressures of work meant that I had less time to devote to picture-taking. Returning to Japan four years ago, I decided to sell my old equipment and take the leap into the digital world.

With Andy's help, I have not only enjoyed learning and re-learning the techniques, but have also rediscovered the creativity that comes from being challenged to rise above convention and one's own perceived limitations. This journey has also been a lot of fun.

These pictures, all taken during 2006, are the first steps toward my goal of creating "artless art."
